Ever just the same, ever a surprise

I have decided that it shall be Disney week for my subject lines. I don't know why, but it sounds like fun, so why not?

Back to work today, even though I woke up with a bit of a headache. One I'm able to take pills, I'll pop some ibuprofen, and feel better hopefully. Having missed a day and a half, I can't really take another, so I'll live. I did not want to get up at 6. Even though I knew it was coming, my alarm was a surprise to my brain. I'd been up at 4 for a bathroom break, so it wasn't that long after getting back in my warm bed that I had to get up. It still was really annoying. This is one of those times that the Rybelsus is such an inconvenient drug. I have to take it on an empty stomach with a minimum of water and then wait half an hour before I take anything else, including other medications. It's not a big deal, except for when my head is pissed off, and I can't have ibuprofen or coffee to help.

Decided that due to financial constraints, we'd get food from Aldi this week, so I was freed of having to go out yesterday. Instacart will bring our little order and it will be good. As a result, I did almost nothing at all. Just kind of surfed the web, did Swedish lessons repeatedly (I am having problems with the verbs that are want, mean, does, etc.)

Yesterday however was Monster of the Week. This week, our heroes were called onto the set of a horror movie where it's star, the former teen idol hoping to make a big comeback has disappeared. His trailer is a mess! Another crew member has also disappeared! Our intrepid Chaos Gremlins investigate! The crew member has returned from what she says was a nasty three day stomach bug! Whoops, turns out with some magical detecting, she's not human anymore! Oh no, it's vampires! Our Expert is very sad, as this ties into her dark past! The Chaos gremlins stuff her in a sack and take her away from the crowded set to an abandoned house on the edge of town for the beheading. Then, it's back to the set! Our Crooked, Athena is a huge stan for our missing star, and spends some time chatting with the fans at the barricades! (in the meantime, poisontaster is getting some weird looks from her husband at this gushing exchange). Turns out two of the fans have gone missing as well! Time to search all the trailers! Two more vampires are found and dispatched. Our missing star is found! Much gushing from the crooked ensues, as he's asked to strip naked so they can look for bite marks! Bodies are stuffed into crates and wheeled off set to be disposed of. An address is found! There are dead bodies strewn around the house, and a teenager is sitting on the sofa, playing World of Warcraft on her laptop. A fight ensues, and she's staked and beheaded! Down into the way too kitsch laden basement to find three vampires, including the child-queen! A fight ensues where most of our heroes take some damage, but in the end, three vampires are dead. Bodies are removed, and the abandoned house goes up in smoke as our heroes deal with body disposal! Another mystery is done and dusted!

From the fits of giggling that ensued throughout the game, I'm hoping my players had as much fun as I did. Fandom is awesome, y'all.

Every game is a lot of fun, and I think I say “THIS was the best one!” after each game...but THIS was the best one! Athena falling down star drunk was too funny to play. 😂

And she gave Vic her number! That was the true victory of the night. XD But yes, agreed, this was so much fun. I laughed so much at that scene with Athena starry-eyed that my throat hurt this morning.
