beansideUgh. This shot, y'all. I'm feeling mostly better now, but for a day and a half, it kicked my ass. I still have a headache (But to be fair, Maryland Weather is a bitch, so it could be that, too) and my arm hurts. My sister had her second, after the first was fine, and she's down with 101 fevers and aches. Jess is so looking forward to theirs on Monday. I'm increasingly worried about Dad's shot today. If he has this bad of a reaction, we could have a serious problem. I'm not looking forward to it. I know he needs it, but I also really don't want him to get it. Hopefully, it won't be as bad for him. Supposedly, it's worse for younger women, so I can dream.
I called out from work yesterday, though I probably could have just gone in late. I just didn't have the power to focus on anything. When my alarm went off, I briefly considered calling out again due to the aforementioned headache. I decided to have some coffee and see how it goes before I make a decision. I probably will go in, because I hate to use more sick time. Though it's tempting to make it six days off. Even if some of it was shitty.
Jess and I decided that our next big vacation is going to be to Stockholm. It might take a little while to save for it, but we'll get there. We decided that we should see if we like it before I start applying for jobs over there.
Swedish lessons are going slower than I'd like. This is the problem of being a former "gifted" student. When something's hard for me, I get frustrated. In reality, I'm probably doing just fine. I just want to know it all now. There's even a news show for new Swedish speakers called Slow Swedish! But right now, that's way out of my knowledge level and it's a little bit annoying to me.
Not much going on here otherwise. I was flat on my back for a day and a half, so I haven't been up to much. We shall see how the next 48 hours goes with Dad's shot.
