It's Friday! Which means I got up a whole hour later than I did yesterday! Technically, I could have slept later, and let Jess get up, but I was awake so might as well let them sleep. Today, I have plans to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and probably some more episodes of the Great Pottery Throw Down. We started the latter yesterday, and it seems to be a nice low-stakes competition in line with Bake Off. It's only six episodes and one season unfortunately, but so far, I've been enjoying it.

Tomorrow, the dog has his day of beauty, which he desperately needs. The poopy butt has mostly resolved thanks to applications of olive oil, which let the clump slide off, but he's managed to get god knows what in his fur--Just little hard bits. So, it's a good thing he's getting shaved.

Then it'll be up to the Market to pick up some meats for the week. With dropping Yoda off at the groomer at 11, I'll be going a little later than I like, so it'll probably be insane.

Day three, and I have not yet mastered Swedish. I'm probably overdoing the lessons a bit, but as I've said, learning languages is not my strong suit, so I'm trying to brute force the words into my brain. I'm sure in a few weeks, I'll have obtained a bit of chill about it, but right now the plan is new and exciting, so I'm very...enthusiastic. In a few months, it'll settle in. Jess is also struggling with the language, so I don't feel so bad. We'll both get there, though. We've got time.

My evaluation went well. I need to work on my adherence, which is making sure I'm in the right status at the right times. I have a nasty habit of coming back early from my breaks, and thinking "Oh, I'll change that in a few minutes, when it's time," and then getting started on work again, and forgetting. So, I'm going to try to do better on that. Aside from that, I'm apparently awesome, and my manager wants to duplicate me. He's pleased with my burgeoning attempts to be a leader, and wants me to become a mentor to some of my coworkers. I'm hoping he means some of the newer coworkers, because if he means the tenured coworkers, that could be a little uncomfortable.

My old manager is back from maternity leave as of this week. No word on how that's going to affect us. It's a little mean, but I don't really want her back. I feel more supported with the current management team. I asked about it, but they don't really know what the plan is right now. They're still waiting for clarification. My job is many things, but quick on communication is not one of them. So, that's a little bit of uncertainty. I liked my old manager fine, she's very nice, but we just never clicked the way I do with my current one.

Aside from that, all things are quiet here. Next week, my sister, father and I get our second vaccine doses, and the Monday after that, Jess goes. Fully vaccinated status is on the horizon!

If the worst they had to say in your evaluation is that you're basically too eager to get back to work to wait so you can do things in exact order, that's not bad at all. Congratulations.
