beansideIt took a solid four days, but the side effects have finally faded from the vaccine. Now, it's just mildly sore to the touch and occasionally itchy (which is normal for me with shots). Next shot, 4/19. I took off on the 20th, just to be safe. I may not have a reaction, but I'd rather use PTO instead of sick time.
Yesterday, I ended up doing delivery updates. It was a light day until about 1:30pm, when I got an email of two trailers being picked up late, so of course, all those orders had to be rescheduled. They didn't all get done, unfortunately, so my helpers will be working on that this morning. I had two helpers, both slow as fuck, which did not help to get more done.
On the plus side, the trainees hadn't fucked up things beyond recognition, so that was good. They also didn't save their folders, so I'll have to get on the on Tuesday to do that when they come in.
In between fielding calls from my baffled trainees, this weekend was cheesy movie weekend. We watched (and enjoyed) Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Then it was on to Godzilla vs Kong,which delivered exactly what it said on the tin. I enjoyed most of it, though the "truthers" subplot just annoyed me. I didn't mind Kong's humans too much. And they cast a Deaf actress as a Deaf character! It's a low bar, but it's so rarely cleared that I was pleased by it.
Saturday, we rewatched Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which is probably my favorite in the series (though it may be tied with Mission Impossible: Fallout, which I thoroughly enjoyed as well). Then, for a "treat" we watched The Core. Wow, that was a bad movie. Which of course, meant that I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Today, more coffee, then work. No delivery updates today, thankfully.
