I apparently did not hit the jackpot on the vaccine. By 2pm, I'm was starting to feel crappy, and only got worse from there. You name it, I had the symptom. Fever, check. Chills, check. Nausea (and vomiting), check. Headache, check. In short, I was miserable. I went down to bed at 4:30pm and didn't emerge until 5:45am this morning.
Today, I feel achy, and like I'm probably going to have a fever again, but hopefully less puking and chills. I'm not asking for much.
I did a tutorial for the two coworkers who I'm training. Today, I think I'm going to make them do it, one at a time. I think that'll be a better way for them to learn. I'm not sure how we're going to actually get the delivery updates done while I'm training, but I'll do my best.
Apparently it's not so much that I'm going to get a fever again--it's already here. Yay. I'm so thrilled.
I'm definitely going to take the day after my second shot off work. Might as well save my sick time, and if this is any indication, I'm going to need it. It may not be as bad as this, since there's some anecdotal evidence that people who had Covid have a worse time with the first shot, but why risk it?
Jess goes for their shot today, so here's hoping that they don't have any major side effects. (I think I got enough side effects for all of us.) My sister hasn't had any side effects at all. A little soreness at the site. That's it. I'm a touch envious.
Now to take some ibuprofen and coffee and see what this shitshow of a day is going to look like.
