The inspector didn't come til close to 2, which was not ideal, as it let me work myself into a nice froth of anxiety. But when he did show, it was a 3 minute inspection, and we were done and best of all, we passed. They'll fax over the report to BGE, our gas and electric company on Monday morning, and we can start bugging them to come out and give us a new meter on Tuesday. Then, we can get it all hooked up, and once that's done, they can come turn our gas back on. Hot water is in sight.
Today, we have a trip to the dispensary to get more Blue Frost strain, as that has been the best one for pain relief, and Jess is nearly out. Apparently, it's a very in demand strain, because it is a bitch to find. Our normal dispensary is sold out, so we're going to try a new one, as they seem to have it in full sized prerolls. It's still a little surreal to me that we have not one, but four different strains in the house. One helps with anxiety, one helps with pain, one doesn't seem to do much of anything except stink up the house (Garlic Cookies, looking at you) and one is good for producing a calm, get it done state.
I might also do a trip to the Amish Market, since it's right up the street from the dispensary, and pick up some apple sausage for dinner. It'll take forever in the toaster oven, but it would taste awesome. We're pretty poor this week, despite payday, but that would be in budget. Everything important is paid, there's just not a lot left over. C'mon tax money! Unfortunately, I think that won't be out until the second week of February, boo.
It's not TTRPG weekend, and that is sad. But next weekend will be awesome. I'm looking forward to it a lot. I tend to get bored easily on my days off, so having something to plan for is good for me. Also knowing that I get to spend time with my friends not once, but twice in a weekend makes me happy. I'm still getting to know my D&D players, but so far, they all seem cool. And of course, Monster of the Week we've been playing for 8 games now, so I know all of them. We've actually started making tentative plans to meet up for brunch when it's safe to do so. (For them, I'll actually brave DC and the surrounding areas.)
