beansideI am so tired today. I had some trouble getting to sleep last night, but I was at least able to lay still, so hopefully, I didn't bother Jess. We both have sleep anxiety so any deviation from the norm is cause for unease or outright panic. (It's been better since they went on the cannabis based sleep aid. That shit is magic.)
My tire is still flat as I did not have the fix a flat in my car, and we have to go get Dad's prescription today. This meant one of two things: someone was going to have to uber to the doctors and back, or I was taking Shelly to work today so we can have her car. I went with option two, so I knew I was going to have to get my shit together early and drive to Owings Mills. I have not had to do that 30-40 commute in 4 years, and I haven't missed it at all. My commute (pre pandemic) is about 10 minutes. I mean, for the last nine months, it's been across my living room floor, and I love that commute best of all.
I took off from work early to go pick her up, so I get to do it again in rush hour traffic! Yay?!
My players continue to delight me. Jess made a MS paint portrait of their character in the bath, which was adorable, and posted it to the Discord. This provoked a great discussion of the different character's approach to the baths. My players are awesome, and they continue to make me happy. They also have bought two healing potions, since one healer and one paladin with lay on hands is not much in a party of 8. And so far, they're showing all the tendency of a two year old to get into shit, so they may need it.
