beansideI love watching my players interact on the D&D discord channel. It makes me happy that they're so invested in the game that they're discussing their characters and their plans for the next session, or what they're doing between sessions. Some of it's practical, like what they're planning to get with their ill-gotten gains. Some of it is discussing whether there's a Fantasy Lush for the one character to get scented soaps for bathing.
It just makes me happy, since deep down, my little internal asshole says that I'm a crappy DM, and all my players are going to drop out. My inferiority complex is not helped by listening to Critical Role with DM extraordinaire Matt Mercer (who I know has much more experience than me.) But my players still seem invested, so that's good.
I was mistaken. I have one more day before my coworker comes back, so I'll be doing the delivery reports for one more day, which is fine. Of course, my minions are back in training, so we'll have to see who they get to help me if needed.
Sam came in last night at some point, but apparently, I didn't wake up. I did wake up around 3am with him under the covers, curled up at my hip, which was very sweet.
Jess got me a moon phases ring. I stacked it with a Celtic knot ring. Jess says it's very pagany. I look like a pirate, with a minimum of three rings on each hand. I need to figure out the size for my pinky, so I can have rings on every finger except my thumb. (Thumb rings tend to drive me crazy.)
