beansideBack to work today. My last two days of the early schedule! Shame, I really enjoyed getting off at 4:30pm every day. Ah well, maybe when we get more people, they'll be able to shuffle schedules a little. On the plus side, we got all our holiday hours pre-loaded, so I can take time off at will again. (We have PTO, which rolls over at the end of the year, and Holiday hours, which do not.) I'm considering taking Thursday off, but we'll see.
Thankfully, one coworker is back today, I think, so he can do his own damn markets. They were a pain in the ass on Thursday, when I finally had time to do one. I don't know if we'll have any in there to do, since it was New Year's Day on Friday. A lot of our transport providers were closed. Including one that emailed us on Thursday at noon, and said that they were out til the 4th. I mean, nice for them, and it didn't really matter much to us.
I started rewriting my MotW module to include some of their past, since the one that went for two weeks had a lot of plot hooks that I'd be remiss not to include. I figured I'd get that written up first, since that'll give me time to review the D&D module some more, since that's the first game of the weekend.
I hadn't planned on scheduling the same weekend, but everyone was available at that time, and I'm not averse. It just means I'll probably sleep well for two nights in a row, since I usually crash after a game. I think it's because I'm generally an introvert, but for gametime, I get to let my inner extrovert out, and They're exhausting. By the end of a three hour game, I'm like "no more talky." Don't get me wrong, I love GMing and playing. It's helping to keep me sane during the pandemic.
Also, I really like the people I'm playing with. It seems to be a good mix. I might have to schlep to DC when the pandemic is over for the next fandom brunch to meet some of them.
