beansideBack to work today. I don't have to do the delivery report on Sunday, so that's okay. I do start my OT this week, so that's a lot, but we shall persevere. I do have the inbox, which will suck. It's been very overgrown the last week, and I am not looking forward to it. Ah well, I will survive. I don't know if I'm going to do my markets, as there's supposed to be someone else doing it this week. I have no real illusions that they or my other two coworkers are getting done. My team is too damn high-maintenance and whiny to actually go out of their way to do what amounts to ten reports. I shudder to think what it's going to look like when I go back to it next week.
I forgot to mention that I watched WW84 on Christmas. That sure was a movie. I felt like I was way to cynical for that movie. Also, it managed to be wildly racist, too. Every Middle Eastern character was a stereotype, whose wishes were destructive as fuck. This was an especially bad look considering that Gal Gadot is Israeli, and has been very vocal about the Palestinian conflict. I had a really hard time divorcing reality from the fiction, is what I'm saying. Also was skeezed out at the whole way they brought Chris Pine back, and the massive consent issues therein. Chris Pine was awesome in it, and Pedro Pascal seemed to enjoy the scenery he got to munch on. I also enjoyed Kristin Wiig's character, who could have gone more darkside and been justified. I just felt that the plot, especially at the end, let everyone down.
We had our zero D&D session. It was pretty small, and three of the participants were not the ones I was concerned about mastering the Roll20 system. We had fun though, and did a run through for the one who did have questions, then we played the two starting games they had in the module, just for the fun of it. Holy crap, they are little murder muppets. The full game should be interesting. I think a good time was had by all, and at the very least, now these characters know each other, and that saves me some time on introductions on the first full session.
