beansideMerry Christmas to those who celebrate, and have an awesome Friday to those who don't. It's my normal day off, so it just feels like a weekend to me.
I made a particularly downer post earlier this morning, but I'm feeling better now, and felt a little embarrassed by it, and thus deleted.
One of the things I did say that I will repeat, is that my sister seems to have gone overboard on Christmas presents this year. I'm a little upset as I did not, and thus there are three presents each for her and Dad, vs apparently five presents each for Jess and I. I'm a little upset, and feeling like a bit of a suck, and may end up purchasing Amazon gift cards.
My beloved Sam was a bit of a shit this morning, driving me out of bed at 6am. Which is too early for man or beast. (Though apparently he didn't think so.) Once I got upstairs, he screamed at me, then played with a cup in the sink loudly, then puked a hairball on the floor. It was not an auspicious start to my day.
People are slowly trickling into the D&D game. We're up to 8, with, I think, 2 more to join. I'm looking forward to it, while also wondering what my chaos muppets will get into. Something I never considered, I'm sure!
Turns out, our "heat and serve" prime rib is actually a "cook and serve" kind of thing. It says that they're sending them out raw this year on the Boston Market site, in tiny letters, which I did not see. As we still have no gas, we will be cooking it in the crock pot. I've found a couple of recipes, so we should be good. Hopefully, we can keep it to medium rare.
