I really can't believe it's Christmas Eve. The year seems to have lasted forever, but the last couple of months are gone in the blink of an eye. (Except for the week after the election--that lasted another year.)
Today, I solo on the delivery updates for the first time. I don't know what they'll do with my markets for the next week, but they'll just have to live. Of course, it's not just my market, it's also the two coworkers whose markets I help with who are out. It should be a mess. And Boston and Chicago are such messes that I feel bad for whoever has to deal with them.
I'm a little nervous about soloing, but I think I have a pretty good handle on it. I'll just do my best, and it'll have to be good enough. We're averaging over 600 updates, so we'll see who they get to help me with them. It should be interesting. That's the part I really haven't done much-giving out the updates, but that's got to be easy, right?
We went and picked up our prime rib from Boston Market, which begat the annual cleaning of the fridge. I went ahead and had some of the spinach artichoke dip for dinner, which meant I spent the rest of the night coughing and clearing my throat. Sometimes dairy just hits me like that, but it's annoying.
I still have to wrap presents, but miracle of miracles, dad's present came yesterday! I figure I'll do the wrapping when I get off work today. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. It shouldn't take that long, at least.
