beansideToday, morning feels way too early. I had a kitty keeping me warm, and being very obstructive. (hey, I didn't want to roll over, right?) Boodle was very sweet, and snuggly last night. She was with me a good chunk, first sleeping behind my legs while I was on my side, then when I rolled on to my back (which she was pissy about) she got between my legs. It always fills me with a certain amount of wonder that my tiny wild creature wants to snuggle, but it doesn't always make for restful sleep.
Of all the cats that just showed up outside, Boodle is still the most feral. She wants love when she wants love, and otherwise, she can still be a little skittish. She doesn't like men at all, though sometimes, she will tolerate a pet from my father. As a result, when she graces us with her presence, it's a great honor.
In addition to being a little tired, I also have cramps, as apparently, my period is going to be a semi-regular visitor now. I really thought I was in menopause, but alas, no. The last two months, it's been like clockwork.
In good news, Jess has been approved for medical cannabis. They had their doctor appointment last night, and apparently, their diagnoses are a slam dunk. They were very nervous about it, as their shrink was less than enthusiastic which was really discouraging. I think Jess is going to hit the dispensary tomorrow, so they can try out the sleep aid on tomorrow night when neither of us has to get up the next day.
I have learned more about cannabis in the last month, while they've been going through the process than I thought there was to know. We've looked at all the dispensaries in a 20 mile radius, and debated the merits of pre-rolled vs one hit pipes vs edibles. I think we've narrowed it down to a nice dispensary in Timonium, Curio Wellness. They also have a spa attached, so if we go on a Saturday, I can get a chair massage while Jess browses.
