beansideToday is Monster of the Week day! I'm looking forward to it, while wondering what my hunters will get into tonight. They unilaterally go in directions I haven't expected, so It'll be interesting. It's been three weeks due to scheduling issues, and I'm missing my friends.
Cheeto's not getting much support from the military, is he? The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff sent a not so subtle message the other day. "We do not take an oath to a King or queen, a tyrant or dictator. We do not take an oath to an individual. No, we do not take an oath to a country, a tribe or religion. We take an oath to the Constitution."
It's nice that someone is willing to stand up to the asshole-in-chief.
I got my CandySwap sent out. It's winging it's way to the UK as I type. Hopefully the recipient likes what I got. I tried to make it a variety of fancy handmade chocolates, as well as some mass-produced stuff. As usual, shipping to the UK cost about the same as the chocolates.
Later, once they open, I need to make a trip to IKEA. Dad has indicated that he would like some smoked salmon from there. Why from IKEA? I guess my discount? I mean, it's not a hardship to run by the store. I'll go early before the big crowds hit, and just nip into the Swedish food mart. I can get some more cans of cider while I'm at it, because I fucking love their pear cider. It's delicious, and mildly alcoholic(1%).
Aside from that, I suppose I should decide what we're going to have for lunch. I'm thinking, since I'm going to be over in the area for IKEA, maybe a sushi burrito. We'll see what Jess is in the mood for, though.
