I feel a little less sad today, so that's a good start. We went shopping last night, and I bought a ton of feel-good food, like pumpkin pie tarts, and port wine cheese, and shrimp salad. And a big thing of supermarket sushi, which I ate for dinner. (along with some pumpkin pie tart, and a raspberry turnover.) I love me some raspberry. I will probably have that for breakfast.
I mean, I also got the crap that we needed, so it wasn't a total waste. Also, some Halloween candy, which will not last til Halloween. I feel a little bad that I spent so much money, but you shouldn't send me shopping on an empty stomach. (Okay, that was my fault, too, but still.)
I slept moderately well, which means I woke up around 3am and just lightly dozed thereafter. I don't feel like a wreck today, so I'll accept this.
Yesterday, I ended up having not one, but two special projects, which more or less kept me busy for the first half of the day. The second half was still a little light on shit to do. The annoying thing is that if they would train me, the other half of our group desperately needs help. I could be doing those, and having shit to do. To give you an idea, we want the # of reports for that section to be around 30, but it's currently at 190. Some times, it goes as low as 170. I could certainly make a dent, as I am very fast at making cases. I don't know that I could get it down to 30, but I could help. One of the managers did say he wants to get me trained on it. I think he's realizing how much down time I have, since I'm always willing to help out with the special projects. They just seem to think it would be difficult to train over Teams, which is what we use for chat. I think my coworker J and I are bright enough to get it anyway.
I don't think I'm a rocket scientist or anything, but I pick up things well, and I retain information, so I think I could do it.
