And sliding towards the weekend! Two more days of work. Our magical bot that is cancelling orders is suddenly cancelling the orders, but not setting up the cases for refunds. It's a pain in the ass, and of course, I'm one of the people who has to fix it. By the time 6:30pm rolled around, I was so fucking done with that bot. I still have about 50 cases to make, which will take me most of the day, if I'm the only one doing it. (Which, be real, I probably will be.)
Got bored and started rereading Temeraire again. It's kind of a comfort read for me, especially the first book. It ranks near the top of my list as books I occasionally want to revisit, along with Feed, by Seanan McGuire. I have not one, but two books coming out in the next couple of weeks. On Tuesday, Solutions and Other Problems, by Allie Brosh comes out. Since her Hyperbole and a Half comics had me laughing until I wheezed, I have high hopes for this one. Then, on October 6th, The last of the Trials of Apollo, the Tower of Nero, by Rick Riordan is coming out. It's the last book in the Percy Jackson universe, and the Apollo series, which makes me sad. Still, I'll be listening to the book on Audible, so it'll last longer. (the narrator is awesome, and makes the book 100x better.)
I had a breakthrough on my next Monster of the Week game, and added a few more unconventional monsters. I know it's not generally supposed to be that combat heavy of a game, but my players are little murder hobos. There's more mystery to this game, so we'll see how that goes. It's not until Sept 26th, so I have plenty of time to get my stuff together to make it the best game I can. Sorry, I will babble about this, because I'm a giant nerd, and it's something I'm looking forward to.
That weekend would also have been the Greek Festival. Instead, it's the grab and go festival. They'll still have the good Greek food, but for pickup only. The menu is smaller, but I can still get my Souvlaki, and Jess can get their Gyro. They can be found at St. Demitrios Food Extravaganza
Looks like the Russian festival is doing the same thing. I can do online ordering and just pickup the food. Looks like we need to do the Russian pick up on 10/17, since that's the day they have sweet cheese Blinchiki. Also Shaslik, which is a pork kebab that is out of this world. I can also get a sausage with sauerkraut for Dad. I'll put in the order early, since it says they'll have limited amounts of everything, cause I don't want to miss out on my Russian food fix. They can be found at Russian Festival.
That, plus RPGs mean it will be a busy few weeks!
