beanside | Boaty McBoatface day!

In just two hours, we shall depart for our boating odyssey! We rented a pontoon boat that's big enough for four people, because I think it'll be easier to get in and out of. Jess' foot has been bothering them, and I've been having back spasms, so that's important. It's only for two hours, but I'm a water baby, so being out on a lake is the next best thing to actually going swimming, which we didn't manage this summer, what with the pandemic and all. It's been a decade since the last time we boated, so hopefully I remember how to steer! I'm sure they'll give us a quick rundown of the boat before they turn us loose.

Then tomorrow, we shall role play! I cannot overstate how excited I am about this game. I bought legal pads and pens especially for it, so I can keep track of all my players. I typed up a one page with the basics of the game, and I think I'm ready for my players to go off the rails. (we shall see on that one!) I am also nervous as hell, since everyone is all ready to go for this game. So many people wanted to play Monster of the Week! Which, I suppose it's a pretty popular game, what with being featured on the Adventure Zone, so I should have expected more interest than I did. The game is not til 4pm, EST, so I should be a fucking mess tomorrow.

Then, Sunday, back to work. Boo.
