beansideI took today off, because with Shelly home, it was very difficult to concentrate on work, so I said fuck it. I don't know what I'll do today--probably fuck-all, but it'll be better than trying to do actual work.
Tomorrow, it's off to the lovely Lake Codorous for a day of boating. It'll be nice to get out of the house for a few hours. It's about an hour from us, so it'll be a minimum of five hours out.
Then, Saturday afternoon, Monster of the Week! I spent the morning writing up some encounters for my brave hunters. It’s now a party of 6, including Jess and two of my closest friends, so I am super nervous. That’s a lot of people to keep track of. Especially for a first time. I knew Jess was going to play, and I was thinking a couple more would be interested. I think I said that before, but seriously-holy shit y’all. Still, it’s been a welcome break from fretting about the state of the country, Coronavirus, the west coast fires, etc. Ifit goes well, there could be an ongoing campaign! Jess keeps reassuring me that I’m going to do well, but I’ll believe it at about 7pm on Saturday, when the session is over. I just want everyone to have fun. Here’s hoping the discord voice chat and roll20 are up to the challenge.
