Another day, another 4am wake up. I managed to stay in bed til about 7, at which point I got restless and got up. (Technically, I started getting restless about 6, but I refused to get out of bed that early on a Saturday.) I'm really not liking this game. It's my day off, dammit. I have absolutely no reason to be up this early. Pfft. Between that and my pissed off shoulder, I'm not a happy camper.
I've had this shoulder problem before. It lasted about 6 months, and was obnoxious the entire time. It's just generalized shoulder pain, worse with activity, but not like on a 1 to 1 ratio. I carried groceries in yesterday with only baseline pain, but then I put my elbow down on my thigh when I sat down, and spike of pain. I can move it okay, though it feels inflamed, and stiff. Right now, sitting and typing, it's sore, and if I move my head, I can feel it up into my neck. Today, the back of my shoulder also hurts, which is new. Last time, the diagnosis was microscopic rotator cuff tears, and I did very expensive physical therapy for four months, which helped not a bit. Eventually it went away on it's own, so it can fucking well do that again. I'll try to baby it as much as I can, but I'm not dropping my life for it again.
I managed to finish Killing Frost yesterday. Now I need Jess and the lovely Poisontaster to read it so I can discuss the plot points with someone. (I am aware that this may take a while, since PT and her hubby listen to the audiobook version, which doesn't come out until 9/15.)
For a day off, I have a semi-busy day planned. Gotta go pick up a new carbonating canister for my SodaStream, as it's been out for almost two weeks. The horror, flat water!! We were talking about going to Ikea to get some more Veggie meatballs, but I may hold off on that particular hellscape, and go one night when it's quieter. They're really good in curry simmer sauce. Then, it's cooking on the grill. Shelly wants me to do hamburgers and sausages, but I think the sausages are plenty. I got three pounds of the apple sausage ffs. Plus a pound of Old Bay sausage and a pound of sweet Italian sausage. That's a lot of goddamn sausage.
I also got a few links of Andouille sausage so Jess can make her excellent Jambalaya, so that's something to look forward to this week.
Well, I've now been up two hours, and everyone else continues to slumber. Time to warm up something for breakfast.
