Back to work I go. I'll probably be doing delivery updates most of the day. I'll have my two reports to work, but unless my Chicago market exploded since Thursday, it won't take too long. (Chicago is my most challenging of reports. Portland has their shit together, so that takes maybe 20 minutes. Chicago can take an hour if they're having a particularly stupid day.)

Yesterday improved somewhat--one of the players of the TTRPG stepped in and we played a one shot called Bayhem. It was a lot of fun, and silly as hell. Just what the doctor ordered. The premise is basically that you're part of a Michael Bay movie, with all the ridiculous action that entails. And explosions. So many explosions.

In wrestling news, another of my favorites who had taken time off returned, so I was happy. It seems like they're giving him a good storyline, so that's a bonus. He'd taken time off while the company got it's shit together re: the pandemic, so I was a little afraid they'd bury him when he came back. The initial WWE response to Covid seemed to be "duuuh, which way do we go?" so I don't blame him or Roman Reigns for noping out. Now they have the quick tests, so no one gets inside the building unless they come up clean. Before it was just temperature screenings and a "How do you feel?" Wrestlers are notoriously bad at admitting weakness, so this was not a great strategy.

To give you an idea of wrestler's mindset, one guy this weekend, during one of the two big shows separated his goddamn shoulder about ten minutes into a twenty five minute match, and proceeded to ignore it for the next fifteen minutes while he finished the match, including hoisting his close to three hundred pound opponent up. Sadly, he won, and then had to immediately vacate the title due to his injury. That's the norm, not an outlier. I've seen guys tear a quad muscle and finish a match. Or, and this is my favorite, sustain second degree burns on his entrance pyro, and still do a fairly long match, just dumping water over himself whenever he had a moment. Like most stunt performers, wrestlers are certifiable.

Okay, time to go put on my leggings and tank top and get ready for work at 10. I suppose I should commit a breakfast some time between now and then.
