beansideI am awake. I woke up a 4:30 and tried to doze a little more. Finally got up around 7. Ew. I didn't technically have to be up til 9. I have an alarm set for 8, but really, it only takes me about an hour to get ready. I can always drink my second cup of coffee at my desk.
Instead, I shall spend three hours pacing the internet until worktime. Maybe there will be something good on Twitter.
I need to get a USB to USB-C dongle. My computer only has two USB-C ports and a headphone jack, and my headphone mic apparently went robotic sometimes during the TTRPG. I think I'm going to be totally unprofessional and use my work headset next week. It's a USB headset, so I'll go on Amazon, or over to the Microcenter and get said dongle. See if that takes care of the issue. I was looking into a microphone or headset, but they're fucking expensive! And I have a very nice one that it's probably only a little unethical to use.
That's really my only issue with this computer. It'd be nice to have a straight USB port, but I don't think that would fit with how slim it is. Plus, it seems like most hardware can be found in USB-C, so it's probably not that big a deal. I like how slim it is, so I'll take the trade off.
I was going to post the "I don't really want to do the work today" video, but I'm feeling pretty okay about doing the work, so it's not really applicable. Last night, I was not feeling particularly work-positive, but this morning, I'm ready to go. Mostly because I know there's going to be things for me to do, especially since I was off Thursday. Plus, I'm off again this Thursday for Shelly's birthday, so it's a short week for me.
