Got a lovely postcard from
dine which perked up the week. I picked up some cards from Amazon, so I'm going to try to send some love. I kinda suck at it, so y'know be patient with me.
I have apparently run out of new antidepressants to try. We're going to give Latuda another shot, since it did help some, it just made me irritable. I'm hoping if I stay on a lower dose we can balance the good vs the bad. I haven't had something that really helped a lot since the Viibryd stopped working. Trintellix let me function, but it didn't really give me back a whole lot of interest in things, and it damn sure didn't give me back my words.
It's been at least a year since I had enough focus to write anything. And of course, the lack of interest means that I haven't really been active in any fandoms. I kind of miss the community. I remember the very beginning of the SPN fandom, and how awesome that was. It certainly had it's issues, but it was really good to me.
In addition to tapering off the last med (Lexapro), work offered overtime this week. So, I was starting my day at 4:30am. I am wiped out today. I mean, the money will be nice, but damn. I need a nap.
I've been trying to watch Doom Patrol on HBO Max. I'm enjoying it, though my attention span is about the same as a goldfish. I'm also reading Sword and Pen, which is the final book in Rachel Caine's The Great Library series. I've thoroughly enjoyed the prior books, and I love the diversity of the characters. There's a cannon gay couple, and a Muslim woman whose faith is not the focus of her character, but informs her choices. She's allowed to be a fully realized person. I love her.

Date: 2020-06-26 03:10 pm (UTC)glad the card was positive - I like sending mail, and it's great to know that it's not bugging people. when/if you have cards/spoons, please add me to your list of potential mail recipients - notes definitely brighten up the mailbox!
good luck with the change back to Latuda - I hope it works ok, and you don't end up endlessly grumpy as a result

The Latuda helped some, so hopefully we can manage to walk the line on the side of good effects.

Date: 2020-06-27 12:05 am (UTC)A bunch of fandom friends and I were just discussing Seasons 1-3 this morning, and how much we miss early show, and early fandom. Not that there haven't been good things since, but...there was a breakwater, and two different eras, experiences, fandoms, almost. I miss the early stuff too.
