RL stuff ahoy

So...I guess this is a good time to mention here that I got a pretty nice promotion at work. I work for a large group of doctors with over a dozen offices, at their call center. We recently did a bit of shuffling and moved our people into 'pods' that correspond to the offices in one area. My boss requested that I apply for pod Leader. So, I did, and now, I've moved into the ranks of middle management. I have four minions to do my bidding.

I am SO fucking nervous about this, you have no idea. I spent most of my adult life working as the only employee for a one doctor practice. I'm really worried how I'm going to motivate four women to make me look good. It should be interesting. *shrug*

I'm really happy about it, mind you. More money, more challenges. I'm just nervous about parts of it.

congrats! All I'd suggest, from my observation of team leaders from the standpoint of working on their underlings is.......don't be a complete and utter lazy bitch. *nods* No favorites, be tough when you need to be, but have that open door policy and I think you'll do fine! So in other words......be yourself! You are a fine, caring woman who can be tough when you need to be! You'll be fine!
