So, in addition to last night being the end of 2008, it was also the 9 year anniversary of Jess and I admitting that we were kinda hot for each other's bods. *grin* Our first cyber date, if you will.
Anyhow. I don't do resolutions. I know I'll break them, because they just don't work for me. *shrug*
I will instead say that these are the things that I'm going to try to do in 2009.
Add some new doctors to the list of specialists. A rheumo, a good neuro.
Get the things together with pain management and PT, and hopefully get things together to help my neck to feel better.
I'd like to get back into the habit of writing. Cymbalta seems to be making a big difference in that already. Since I went on it, I have more energy, and have been able to focus more, which is nice.
I was starting to think that the neurontin had taken my words permanently. But it seems like I'm able to write a little easier every day. Will I ever get back to my old self? I don't know. But I'm going to try.
I'd like to find the energy to do more stuff after work. Jess and I used to go out for coffee or hot chocolate once in a while to discuss stories and stuff. I'd like it if once in a while we could do that.
I will try to be gentler with myself. I'm my worst critic, and I'd like to do better at giving myself the same lee way I'll give to others.
I'd like to work at getting my finances in a better state, work out a budget that makes it easier to make bills and still do some fun stuff. I also want to create two savings accounts, one for savings and one for travel. Our ten year anniversary is five years away, and we'd like to be able to do something special for it.
I hope that the next year will be a year of awesome things for all. *hugs*
