Am sick again. Have the flu, despite taking the shot. Until it clears up--six days and counting!--I'll be pretty MIA, because the fever makes it hard to look at the comp screen.

I called out of work on Monday, which was the first time in eight years. I've come home early, but I haven't totally said "Screw you, I can't." Since on Sunday, I was having high fevers with hallucinations, I thought that driving on the beltway might not be good.

Came in on Tuesday, mostly sat like a zombie and prayed for a chainsaw to remove my head. Today, I feel slightly better. I'm aware that the chainsaw would make noise, and willing to wait for an axe to remove my head. *nod* When I cough, I sound like a Studebaker ignition grinding. It's awesome, and makes my throat feel like I took a flame thrower to it.

Side note- Jesus, I'm glad I didn't try to make last weekend's coven event. If I had given y'all this, you'd have formed a posse and killed my ass.

Apparently I shouldn't read the news stories that say that there's a strain out there that the shot may not protect against, because I just read that this weekend,and lo, you got sick. I'll stop reading the articles.

My mom had the flu last weekend when I talked to her, and she sounded all kinds of miserable.

I'm so sorry you feel crappy, and I'm thinking happy get healthy soon vibes for you.

Also, no need to respond, because as you said--looking at the screen makes you feel crappy, and when you feel better, you won't want to spend your limited stamina replying to messages, ya know? .
