So. I've had this window open for the last four hours, trying to figure out what I wanted to say. Things have been a little rough lately here, but I don't want people to think they have to comment or console or whatever. So, I'm okay. Everything will be okay. We're managing.
So, with that in mind, heres the 411.
The Good:
Today is Supernatural Day! YAY!
Since we couldn't swing Wincon, we decided that we were still doing a vacation. To that end, we'll be spending the 11-14th in Virginia. The 11th, we'll be in Richmond, meeting the awesome
embroiderama and watching the SPN ep with her. \o/
Thereafter, we'll be heading down to Busch Gardens Europe's Howl-o-Scream for the weekend. There will be rides and ghosts and ghoulies, and we will have fun, goddamnit.
Fall is slowly creeping into the air, which gives me a happy. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love the scents of fall.
The Not-So Good:
Grandmom has been back in the hospital since Saturday with her normal congestive heart failure stuff. This was a particularly bad incident, and she actually stopped breathing at one point. She's not bouncing back as well as she was, and really at 93, no one expects her to. It's not like I think it'll be today, or even this week, or next (please gods not next week--give me my vacation, dammit!). But I think sometime in the next month or so, she'll be leaving us. Mom had an appointment today for pre-planning at the funeral home. We ended up with the one thing she didn't want. Namely a white casket. She said that when she saw it, it was pretty. Go figure. There's a lovely picture of it right here.
On one hand, it's gonna suck, and we're all going to miss her, but I didn't expect her to even make Christmas of last year. Also, with her declining mobility, it's been tough on all of us physically, especially Mom.
Aside from that, Jess is having a major fibro flare, and is miserable, and I have a lovely migraine. Go us.
