*sigh* I don't wanna be at work. It's made worse by the fact that my body has decided rather arbitrarily, that I must not sleep after five thirty a.m. Since I don't have to get up until six, it's kinda annoying to be wide awake at five fifteen. My body, it is made of fail lately.
Had a good weekend anyhow. Saturday was gorgeous weather, a touch hot, but still lovely. We decided to head down to Annapolis for lunch at Famous Dave's BBQ, which was awesomely tasty. Then, after a bit of discussion, we headed over to the harbor and rented a powerboat.
Now, it's worth noting that the last time I was steering a boat was a canoe in girl scouts or a paddleboat at the inner harbor. This was far from either of those. A 17' zodiac with a nice perky motor. So, I was a little nervous about my ability to not swamp the damn thing and/or hit something.
Turned out, I'm not a bad sailor. We puttered around the harbor and then had some fun on the Severn River, opening the throttle up. Thanks to numerous big powerboats, when I put the pedal to the metal as it were, we tended to skim along the tops of the wakes, which led to coming down rather hard. Jess said that her butt hurt by the end of it.
Then, we had dinner at Ihop, and passed out. Sunday, we took it fairly easy with a quick trip to the grocery store, and to pick up prescriptions. I did find some non-nitrite-laden salt-cured salmon, which got put into my lunch in the form of salmon and cream cheese sushi. It'll go well with the cucumber sushi that is also in the little bento-style boxes I made up.
If Jess is very good, I might get ambitious and do it again on Wednesday, maybe with some shrimp and/or tuna. I'm sure Somewhere around here has some good sushi grade tuna. Maybe, if I have time, Wednesday, I'll swing by one of the fish markets and get the fresh stuff.
I guess I have to do work now, huh? Damn.

I'll see if I can find fish up to my standards, my sweet. *snuggle* should have bought some of the tuna at Wegmans.
*purr* Poor kitty. Busy this morning?
