You made me cry, you sonofabitch!
Two damn seasons of angst, and not a tear. John bites it, not a tear. But last night... just damn, Kripke.
It was Dean in the graveyard that did it. Him so angry and hurting, and ranting at John's tombstone. It's a scene I've been waiting for since Everybody Loves a Clown, and whoa. It didn't disappoint.
It's awesome that after all the shit about Sam wanting a normal life, Dean's the one who's secretly craved it all along.
Props to Jensen for just crushing my soul in this ep, and Jared for the prissyest Sam ever. Too awesome. The "Why are you calling me a bitch," exchange just about killed me. And then, back in the real world...Sam finding Dean, and doing the Winchester version of first aid. When someone is unconscious, shake them.
And that last talk, with Dean just looking at Sam...ow.

Date: 2007-05-04 02:43 pm (UTC)YES - that is exactly right. It is now canon that Dean protested too much about the horrors of normal.
And JOHN loving softball and Dean just loving that so much. (I am so sorry that JDM couldn't fit this into his schedule because seeing JDM in a softball uniform would have been so awesome.)
And the last talk - the best Sam ever.....
