Welcome to a dreary, rainy day in Maryland! We're supposed to have close to 3" of rain today, whoo. And some wind. Fortunately, I don't have a ton to do today.
Yesterday I had a motherfucker of a headache, which was just perfect for the two phone interviews I had. I even napped for a few minutes between them to no avail. I'm still kind of sore today, which is not a surprise with the rain moving in. I had my two phone interviews yesterday. First one was at 10am, for the Dialysis Coordinator. It sounds like an interesting role, going between two hospitals, Sinai and Northwest. Neither is that close, but it wouldn't be terrible either, and the pay is pretty good. I passed that interview, and now I have a virtual interview with the hiring manager today at 2pm. If I get pushed through, the final step is to spend an hour at the office and see what the job entails. Here's hoping!
After a bit of a nap, it was time for my interview with Hopkins. The recruiter had to cancel Friday's interview, because she was sick. It turned out that she had flu and covid, so she was still a little scattered. She called half an hour early and was a little bit all over the place. Fortunately, it turned out that she was recruiting for two of the positions I applied for, so she set me up with virtual interviews for both. So I have interviews on Wednesday at 11:30 and 2. I ended up rescheduling my taste test on Wednesday, but it's going to be a busy day! I've got the two interviews, then I have the taste test, then I go see dad and then we have a game. I may try to take a disco nap between the interviews so I'm not completely wiped by gametime.

poisontaster pointed out, it's like putting on a play every day. Fair. It's just a lot of masking, trying to seem smart and competent and friendly and 100% normal.
Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that I'm getting interviews, I just wish we could skip to the job offer phase. It's been long enough that I'm anxious about actually getting a job. The enforced idleness is driving me batty.
Okay. Time for me to consider the merits of a second cup of coffee. Everyone have an excellent day!
