I'm a little bluh this morning, my stomach's a little cranky, and I'm not enjoying that, but it'll settle down as the day goes on, and it's not like I have anything planned, that I can't take a nap if need be.
I blame this entirely on eating a third of a pound of HoneyBaked Ham's ham salad yesterday. I was just suddenly craving it, so I went and got some, as well as some rolls and honey mustard. They mix it with mustard and mayo and pickles and probably crack, it's so tasty. I had such impressive heartburn the rest of the day. Totally worth it.
Aside from that, the day was pretty boring. I spent a lot of time basically pacing the internet. I kind of wanted to chew my arm off. I went out and cleaned out my car, I was so bored. I really hope I get a job before I drive myself or Jess spare.
After a long and boring day, we took ourselves off to Trader Joe's for the annual running of the appetizers aisle. Sadly, they did not have the scallops wrapped in maple bacon this year, but I found plenty of other things to soothe my soul. I plan to bake some of it off today and have it as game night snacks.
One good thing, I got a request from Hopkins for my references. So that was nice. I guess I did okay on my interview after all. I only needed two, so I put three. As of this morning, all three had completed the survey, so we'll see if I get any more contact today. It would be nice to have an offer soon.
Today, I've got to do a little bit of plotting for the Frostmaiden game tonight. Mostly, my plotting is coming up with some nice side characters to populate the landscape. And maybe some ways to tie in some more backstory goodness. We do afterall have a pirate in the party, and they are in a pirate city. It would be kind of stupid not to tie some shit in.
Aside from that, not much else going on today unless I get a hit on a resume. The weekend is full of games, tonight, tomorrow and Sunday, which I'm thoroughly looking forward to. At some point, I'll need to actually get my games for the coming week set up. When I became free, I went a little insane with the scheduling.
Okay, time for me to drink some coffee, and maybe put on some clothes. Everyone have the absolute best Friday!
