It snowed overnight! Just a dusting, but still--snow! And I have no where to go til 11, so it can all just melt now that I've seen the trees and ground coated. It didn't lay on the streets, so it's kind of the platonic ideal of snow, really. If it doesn't warm up, I will have to brush off my car, though.
Yesterday was pretty chill. I went and picked up my groceries from Aldi, and took my sister to the laundromat and picked her up with clean clothes for the week. (She kindly does everyone's laundry, since they have big washers and it's not much more trouble.) Aside from that, I kind of loafed on the couch most of the day and chatted with friends. And, of course, applied for more jobs. Lots more jobs. Hopefully, I start getting some callbacks this week. If nothing else, I've got the interview with Hopkins (barring further technical difficulties) on Wednesday afternoon. But I'm hoping that I'll have a few options to choose from.
I did take thirty minutes to write a short, professional and to the point resignation letter. I'll send it tomorrow afternoon, and then I will be free, except for needing to send back my headset and keycard. (I'm not getting charged for that shit.)
Amazingly, the cat let me sleep til 6:30 today! It's a holiday miracle. I woke up about 6:15, and realized she hadn't come to visit, and got a touch worried, but sure enough, 15 minutes later, I felt her land on my chest, and the pat pat patting started. I dozed off while I was petting her, and she totally bit my nose, just to remind me that she was not to be ignored. After that, I agreed to get up, and lumbered upstairs to feed the little monster.
Not much going on today. I have my psych appointment at 11, and aside from that, nothing much going on. I saw that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is on Disney+ now, so I may try to watch that. Or the new Doctor Who episodes that are on there. We shall see.
For now, I shall drink my coffee and pet the small puppy who is laying next to me. Everyone have an excellent Monday!
