Late one today because I did not take my computer down to the hotel with us.
We are back home after a lovely night out. The Live Hotel and Casino is very lovely. I felt way too poor to be in the hotel and spa part, though. lol
We got there are 2, and were able to check in early. Our room was on the 18th floor, which had a lovely view. The room was huge, and very sleek. We putzed around for a little while, and then headed to the casino. We had no idea what the fuck we were doing on the slot machines. They've gotten very complicated. After a little while, my brain started to hurt from the oversim, so we headed to the spa early. We filled out our paperwork and were taken on a tour of the lounge room and the locker room. It was really beautiful. In the intake paperwork, they asked what size robe you wanted, so there was an XXL robe waiting for me. It was nice. I wanted to steal that robe.
The lounge had snacks and water and peach green tea to imbibe while you waited. Since we were super early, we curled up on a cushy couch and noshed while we waited. Eventually, it was time to go back and we had lovely massages. The only thing I'd change is that I'd do it for a 90 min massage instead of a 50 min. It just felt too short. I wanted about another half hour of just rubbing my neck.
After the massage, we had complementary prosecco, which was super tasty. I basically slugged that shit down. We sat in the lounge for a while and relaxed, then went to the locker room and got ourselves together. Back to the room for a little while, then down for Korean BBQ.
I, foolishly, ordered their MVP package, which says it's for 2-3 people. They lie. THat shit could feed a family of four, easy. It was all SO good, but omg, there was so much of it. Like six cuts of meat and shrimp. We ate until we could eat no more. And there was still a fair amount left.
All in all, it was a lovely break. Now back to real life.
I am going to go make some coffee and have some brunch now. Everyone have an excellent Sunday!
