It's Wednesday and that means I have something to look forward to at the end of the day! It's game day! Tonight shall be Brindlewood Bay!

I'm not good at not having things to do. I've been sitting around desultorily poking at my phone for the last two days. I'm just not that good at relaxing. This is why Disney was an ideal vacation. Even when we were relaxing, there was the pools. Or going and grabbing another latte at the club lounge. It made me happy. I love the mental image of a beach or cabin vacation, but I'd be bored shitless in 1 day. Give me a city where I can sightsee or a theme park every time.

Tomorrow, I at least have a couple of errands to do. I'll get paid this evening, so tomorrow I'll be going to the DMV and getting permanent tags for the Soul. Then, I'll go get a tank of gas for the week. Okay, it's not much, but I'll get out of the house. And once my sister gets home, we may go over to Kohls, and just window shop a bit. If I see something I really want that's a particularly good price, maybe I'll get it. But we'll see.

Friday we may go out for dinner. I've been wanting to try hot pot, and a couple of new places opened in Towson. The one is all you can eat for $25.99, so we might try it out. Saturday is game central. I've got Mad Mage in the morning, and Monster of the Week in the afternoon, so it'll keep me busy. Then, nothing on Sunday which is good, because I will probably be vibrating by then.

I'm anxious about starting class. From all I've heard, it's a fairly intensive curriculum, and I'm hoping I can keep up. I've got my legal pads and a new box of pens. I like to think I'm fairly intelligent, but I'm also 30 years older than I was last time I was in school. I think I'll be okay, but y'know, anxiety.

I'm kind of figuring that I take notes during class, then come home and type them up. I know we'll have computers with the dispatch software and all of that, but I don't think they'll appreciate it if I pull up google docs and start typing during lectures.

I did an open house for another district's 911 program, hoping it would give me more information, but it really didn't. They had some interesting benefits, but some major drawbacks, too. Their background screen was much more detailed than the one I just went through. (which was basically just a criminal check). This one, they want everything from your birth certificate and your high school transcript all the way to your marriage certificate. It was intense. To the best of my knowledge, they haven't even called my references for this one.

Okay, time to get my ass in gear (to do nothing, except maybe put on pants). Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
