The odyssey of no air conditioning continues. It's so shitty. I'm just ready to fall over. It got up to 90 degrees indoors yesterday. We're doing what we can--Dad has three fans on him, the dog has a fan, we have fans. It's not doing shit, but moving the hot air around. It seems like the part of the AC that is outside, that draws the heat out is what died.
It's just a lot I had a fan coming to put in my office, but of course, it didn't make it, and now says it'll be here today by 10pm. Ugh. Much as I hate to do it, I might have to borrow one of Dad's fans, because I cannot be stuck in there with no ventilation.
Zll in all, Dad seems to be doing okay. Better than me? I threw up a couple of times last night, which sucked. Still kind of nauseous today. I think a large part of it is that I haven't felt like eating, so I've been making do with Gatorade. I probably need to actually eat something and settle my stomach down. All in all, do
not recommend.
One nice thing, I went to Enterprise Car Sales yesterday and they were able to get me a deal on a shiny Kia Soul. I am now the proud owner of very nice car. It has lane assist and blind spot warning and is so quiet and smooth! It's black, so we have dubbed it Raven. I really like it, and at some point, it'll stop feeling like I'm driving someone else's car.
I really liked Enterprise. My sales dude, Chris was really sweet. Very reassuring and matter of fact. It was a huge switch from Sheehy.
Okay, one and a half more days to deal with this heat (we hope). Dad's money hasn't come in yet, and I'm a little freaked out about it. But we will figure it out. Hopefully, it'll be in today or Monday at the latest.
Okay, I'm going to sip some coffee and maybe eat a cracker or two and figure out the fan situation. Everyone have an excellent Sunday!
