Missing Disney a bit today. Not the parks, just the freedom of waking up and only being beholden to the person laying next to me. The parks were just a bonus. I mean, I loved the rides and the theming, don't get me wrong, but the hotel was probably my favorite part. Waking up whenever I wanted, and going down to the club lounge to grab a pastry and a coffee to enjoy while I sat on our balcony and typed my morning post as the sun came up over the lush grounds, knowing that the only things we had to do that day was the things we decided to do.
I'm glad we went when we did, because there's no way in hell I'm going back to Florida any time soon. They went from uncomfortable to outright terrifying a few months.
Life continues at the beanside household. Dad is a constant grind of changing diapers, hoisting in bed, feeding and giving pills. I honestly don't know how Jess does it all. I help out as much as I can, but they do the lion's share. I hope they know how much it's appreciated.
Today we get to do the jenga of his new bed and lift coming. We need to be able to get him in the lift and get him out of the room so that we can take apart the old bed, and put up the new one. Hopefully this one works more than 36 hours. I'm hoping that for a nice tip, the driver will help us with it, but we'll see. Also, the PT and Home Health are coming, so hopefully it's not at the same time as the bed.
My sister has a graduation party this evening, so no games tonight, sadly. I could really use one, but we'll have to wait til tomorrow, when I am playing my Kenku Bard (crow person) in a haunted house game. I'm looking forward to it.
At least today the Air Quality Index isn't quite so scary high. Even inside, that kind of sucked for me. Yesterday, the closest I came to outside was standing in the doorway while the dog went out.
Okay, it is now time for me to go forth and put on pants to face the day in. Everyone have a lovely Friday! You made it through the week!
