We'll start our day with a little Hamilton. I don't know if you can say that Jonathan Groff steals the show, but his songs are definitely my favorites.

I'm sitting here waiting for a text I know's not coming. The air quality in the Northeast is just brutal right now. Very unhealthy according to the government. The rescue inhaler is definitely getting used right now. And of course, today is my office day. We raised the issue yesterday that those of us with asthma and lung disease should not be going out in this. Yesterday the air quality was 161. After work, we made a quick trip to Aldi, and by the end, I was feeling tight, my throat was burning and I had a headache. This morning, our air quality is 267, and my answer to work is "I can work from home, or I can not work." I don't want to use more PTO, but this is bullshit. Even indoors, this is going to suck. If I have to go outside and be in a building with questionable ventilation, I will end up having a full asthma attack and end up in the ER. I do have an epi pen, but I'd prefer not to use it.

Aside from my asthma being a little bitch, there's not much going on.

The dog has eaten two chicken bones in the last 2 days. I'm still not sure how he got my sister's, but for mine, he went digging in the trash can. I had a little meltdown over it, because stress comes out sideways sometimes. He's supposed to have grooming tomorrow, but I just can't afford it, so that's getting rescheduled too.

The reason I say stress comes out sideways is because just before that, Dad's labs came in. The high heart enzymes that the hospital brushed off as part of the infection is still there. He's definitely having some level of heart failure, so that was awesome to hear. It's pretty mild, but it still freaked me out a bit.

On the plus side, I finally got a hold of the Durable Medical Equipment people, so he'll have a Hoyer lift and a working bed on Friday afternoon which will be nice. It'll make it a lot easier to move him around the bed, and, he can go in his wheelchair and come out into the living room, which might make him less bored.

We're coming to the end of home health, which I'm looking forward to. No more people coming in and out of the house and making the dog sad. I don't know how useful they were, except the home health aide coming in to wash him once a week. PT and OT gave us some exercises, but I don't know that he's showing any major improvement.

Okay, time for me to call into work, since unsurprisingly, the text did not come. Everyone have a awesome Thursday everyone!
