And just like that, my weekend is over, and it's back to work. One more week til our real manager gets back. Poor dude. This week part time, I'm going to be helping out another department, doing register payments. It's a new skill for me, so I'm looking forward to learning it. I like learning new shit. I'll probably start that tomorrow, since I don't think cash office is there on the weekends. That would be fine, since Mondays are the quietest day for me.
Today, I'm going to deal with the enormous list of orders to be cancelled that the one operational director sent on Friday afternoon. It'll probably take a little while to get done, so I'll have something to do today.
Then, we have the former Lost Mind of Phandelver game, now the Storm Lord's Wrath module. I thought about homebrewing something, but decided to just go with a module for now. I have a feeling that I'll be homebrewing Frostmaiden soon, as they're getting to the end of that module, and there's like half a dozen dangling plot threads that need to be wrapped up. Plus they want to go to 20th level, so we're gonna do that.
Yesterday, we finished up Dragon Heist. Not sure I loved that the final boss battle was completely unwinnable, at least with the small party we have. I mean, Jarlaxel is fun to pilot, don't get me wrong, but way too strong. I wasn't even using some of his skills to make it a little more fair, and he still curb stomped them. DMing for four people (plus an NPC) is much harder than doing it for seven and eight people. Challenge rating is a little more...challenging. Plus, 3/4 of the player characters are squishy classes, only one true tank in the party. Next we're going into Dungeon of the Mad Mage, which should be fun.
