We have made it to our much needed rest day! Today we have no parks planned. We're going to have high tea at a local tea shop, then come back to the resort and relax, maybe spend some time at the pool and just take it easy. Then, we'll be going to Ohana for their all you care to eat Polynesian food. Excited!

Yesterday was a mixed bag. We went to the Magic Kingdom, and it was 90% awesome, but while we were on the train, someone took our scooter. It appeared that someone had just grabbed the wrong one, so the Cast Members told us to take the other one that wast here. However, later those people found us and it was an unpleasant scene. They settled down, but I felt bad.

Apparently, this happens semi-frequently, and the scooter company had another one delivered before we went back to the park in the evening, but it still cast a bit of a pall on the proceedings for a little while.

But, overall, it was a lot of fun. Very crowded, and overwhelming at points, but still so cool. We weren't able to do everything that we wanted, but we're going back on Friday to get a few more rides in. But we got two of my big ticket rides out of the way. I especially enjoyed the Seven Dwarves Mine Train and the Haunted Mansion. The pictures from the rides are epic. All in all, it was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to conquering Space Mountain on Friday. (Though I'm still a little nervous about hauling my ass out of the low seat afterwards.).

I am happy to report that Disney is as fat friendly as everyone has said. There hasn't been a ride that I was even close to not fitting on. I really appreciate that they've tried their hardest to be inclusive. Also of inclusivity, I have been thrilled to find their Pride collection scattered throughout all the stores. I got another pride pin, plus I got Jess gay mouse ears. They look awesome. They wore them in our castle photos.

Photopass has been awesome. Every ride, every time we hit up a photographer, I just get a ping, it goes into my photos, and I download them as we go. High resolution, perfect souvenir.

On our way out of the park, we went present shopping for my sister and father. For my sister I have baby Yoda ears, and a adorable Pluto pin. For Dad, a Mickey Mouse Bucket hat. (There's an old family story about that. We went to Disney when I was 3. We got matching bucket hats. Fast forward a couple of years, and we're at HersheyPark on the log flume, and I'm sitting in front of Dad. We go down the drop and I start to fly up. So does his hat. He grabbed me, and the hat went bye bye. He has never let me forget it, either. 45 years later, he still teases me that he loves me more than the hat.)

Okay, enough babbling, I'm going to go down and get some breakfast and coffee. The hotel has a netspresso machine that I'm in love with. I have perfected the art of making a double eapresso with hot milk foam and two pumps of caramel syrup.

Everyone have an absolutely amazing Wednesday!
