And that fast, it's back to Sunday for what is probably going to feel like the longest week ever. Work is just going to be interminable, and Thursday and Friday when I'm off are going to especially drag. We are officially leaving Friday night when my sister gets home from work. The first suitcase is packed, and I've put a few things in the second big one. I don't know if we're going to completely fill the second bag, so there may be room for shit on the ride home.
That is one nice thing about driving. If we end up getting any larger stuff, we don't have to ship it home. It'll fit in the backseat. I don't foresee getting anything like that, but you never know. I know I want a coconut shaped coffee mug and Polynesian mouse ears, maybe. Aside from that, I think my main souvenirs will be pictures, some of which will probably end up here under a cut.
I'm still anxious about Dad coming home. I'm really concerned that my sister is going to hurt herself trying to take care of him, but talking to either one of them about that is useless, so I'm going to try to put it out of my mind. We have his care meeting on Tuesday, so we'll see what they say.
Also plaguing me is worrying about how the cat will do without us for 9 days. I'm going to miss her horribly. I'm sure she'll be fine, I just feel bad that she's going to be without us for so long.
I did find an incredibly cute tea shop that's like three blocks from our tattoo shop. So I'm going to call today and make a reservation for an 11am high tea, and then we'll walk to the tattoo shop for our 1pm appointment. That way we'll have some carbs and protein before we start getting inked. (Though I plan to take some sugary drinks with us, since we're going to be there for a while. It's been forever since we had high tea, so I'm really looking forward to it.
