Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate! We're waiting for everyone to wake up, so we can begin giving out presents. I slept in til 9, which was very nice. I'll get dad up in a few minutes, so his pills aren't fucked with too much, and Jess will get up whenever they damn well want. They had a cat enjoying the heat pack they had on for their abdominal pain. Boodle looked like she might want to stay there forever.
I know most of what I'm getting, no real shocks there, since we all use the same amazon account. I tried not to look but it was difficult, when I was scrolling to look and see when my stuff was due to come. I know some of my present has not arrived in time, as my birthday and Christmas Disney gift cards are all held up in the USPS. Not really a shock this time of year.
As usual, I'm feeling inadequate in the gift giving dept. I never know what to get for dad. This year, I seized upon a comment he made a couple of times over the last couple of years about wanting a fitbit to measure his sleep. So, I got him an Amazonbit, which should work just the same and doesn't have quite as much of the biometric stuff, because I absolutely do not need a watch taking an ekg and worrying him if it's even slightly out of range. It might be good to have it for us, but the trade off is too big. Aside from that, he got two pairs of pants. My sister got everything she requested, plus a Torrid gift card.
I decided to run a short game this evening, something fun. It'll be nice to hang out with chosen family after the hubub of Christmas.
Okay, gonna keep it short today, too much stuff to do. Have a wonderful holiday or Sunday, whichever you prefer!
