Okay, today is not shaping up to be an awesome morning. It's bad enough that I had to get up early for work, but now the coffeepot isn't working. I think we have a spare, but damned if I can find it. So, I went on grubhub and ordered a box o' Joe from Dunkin. I hate their coffee, but it's better than the headache I would get with no coffee. In reality, it's a small thing. I'm just very much a little neuroatypical creature of habit. I want things to go in their proper order, and this throws a wrench in my plans. I have also ordered a new coffee pot for delivery between 5-10pm, so tomorrow will be back to normal, with the bonus of leftover donuts!
Today shall be a quiet day most likely. I'll have my usual reports, then I'll be bored for the rest of the day.
Oh the coffee is here. Blessed brew! I ordered myself a latte, in addition to the box of Joe, so I'm going to drink that first.
Yesterday was a mostly quiet day. I had a migraine for most of the day, so our only outing was a quick trip to IKEA to get some kitchen stuff and some meatballs and chocolate. (The important things in life.).
My tastebuds are one of those things that has never gone back to normal post-Covid. Most American chocolate tastes horrible now. I know most American chocolate is of horrible quality, but I grew up on it, so it never bothered me. But whatever it is that they use just doesn't taste at all good anymore. I can deal with the US version of Cadbury, but what really works for me is the Swedish brand Marabou. Which, fortunately, IKEA carries. They have these little discs of chocolate with Daim toffee bits in them that I absolutely adore. It's the perfect little taste of sweet when I need one.
Okay, since I wasted half the morning with the coffeepot, I'm going to wrap this up so I can get pants on before I'm supposed to actually start work. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
