Monday, my old nemesis! We meet again. Hopefully, it won't be too rough. For once, I was actually awake before my alarm went off, so that wasn't so bad. It still seems very early, though. Sam may have caught onto the pill in a piece of hotdog trick. Or at least he wasn't willing to take it today. I ended up stuffing the pill down his throat, which he is very much not on board with. I might have to crack a can of tuna for his dinner pill. I honestly did not expect him to be this difficult. He's our sweet, stupid cat! We did find a food that he seems to like a great deal. It's of course, expensive as hell. He ate two envelopes of it last night, and was very enthusiastic. I may go to Petco and grab a couple of more packs to hold us until Amazon delivers. It's called Tiki Cat velvety mousse for kittens. I figure the extra calories can't hurt.
Yesterday was every bit as boring as you can imagine. I had enough work to last me until about 8:45. I start work at 8. We did have a 10am meeting about the markets not sending both parts of it. Apparently it's something they're trying. It may be permanent, it may not be permanent. It's really screwing us all over, as we have nothing to do for long stretches. I mean, I would still have nothing to do, since I tend to get mine done quickly, but I'd have more than 45 minutes work. I ended up doing an Inventory report just to have something to do. Today should be more of the same, so that'll be fun.
We did get an email from work that they may be giving us all laptops. I'm thinking this is in preparation for going back to the office part time. We'd probably have to carry the laptops back and forth, hooking them up to our monitors and basically using them as a hard drive. It's what the managers already do, so it makes sense that they'd switch us to that as well. They wanted to see what configuration we'd prefer--if we'd want to use the laptop as a screen, or just use it as the hard drive with two monitors. I went with that option. The laptop is too damn small to use as a monitor. I'm spoiled with having two big screens, and I'd need bifocals to see the laptop.
Sadly, I don't think we're going to make it to HersheyPark for Christmas in Hershey. Plus, it's so cold that most of the rides won't be running. If I can't do the roller coasters, I'll just wait for Springtime in the Park. We could conceivably go on Saturday, but with D&D on both Friday and Sunday, it would be a little too busy of a weekend.
My D&D game is almost a year old. The first game was on January 1st, 2021! My players decided that we should play on 1/1 again, so we're having a rare Saturday anniversary game. It always makes me happy when my players are excited for the game. Even after a year, they still show up ready to go. We're maybe half way through the module, so hopefully they'll still be as excited after another year! Monster of the Week passed the one year mark in September, without me realizing it! I'm lucky to have such great players.
Okay, time to go get dressed and get ready for the day. Have the best Monday that you can!
