As usual, didn't really want to get up when my alarm went off this morning. I was all warm and snuggled in, and comfortable when my alarm went off. It's funny, on the weekend, I'm lucky to sleep til 7, but during the week, I feel like I could sleep forever. (Honestly, I probably wouldn't, but it's nice to dream.)
Today is the day of meetings. I have a one on one with my boss at 12, and then a Diversity and Inclusion committee meeting at 1. Not much is going to get done today, I think. I like being part of the diversity committee, but the 2+ hour meetings can feel a little long. Todays our first meeting with this new group of people, so it's probably going to be the "getting to know you" icebreaker bullshit.
Yesterday was mostly boring, with occasional flashes of frantic. My markets hadn't been coming in, so I send an email on Sunday just asking what was going on, and if we could get the files sent to us. So yesterday, they all came in, starting around 2:30pm. Which meant that only one of them got done, because after being a no show for a week, it was insane. I fear the one I have to do today, as it's my Chicago market, which is normally a bit of a mess, and it's been AWOL for over 2 weeks. Hopefully, I can get it done before my first meeting. There's also one for our long haul trucking company that I need to get done in the morning, because they get pissy if I don't get it to them early.
I figure it's going to take about a week or so to get them tamed back down to normal, which will suck in the meantime.
Still no chain so I can work on the trike. They said it could take 7-12 days, but I was kind of hoping for sooner.
