It's the last day of 2020, y'all. We've almost made it to the new year! Of course the new year is going to be more of the same for a little while, but it's going to get better.
I don't really do New Year's resolutions. I'm going to try to be better with my finances this year, though. I really suck at managing money. Aside from that, I'm just going to take the year as it comes. That's really all we can do.
Today, I go back to the 8am-4pm schedule, as I am done with overtime. Yay! I am not made for 10 hour days any more. I think I only have one more day of doing the delivery updates on Monday, which is good. Now that I've gotten the hang of it, they're not hard, just tedious and fiddly. And of course, the transporters like to send them in at 5pm, so there's no way I can finish them. I had to leave about 145 updates for my coworker who does them on Thursday-Sunday. Ah well, it gives the minions something to do this morning while she pulls the ones that came in overnight.
I'm almost ready for D&D tomorrow, just finishing up writing out summaries of people's backstories, along with character name, and who's playing them. I'm really impressed--some people have written incredibly detailed and rich histories for their characters! It makes it moderately challenging to summarize it in a few sentences!
I am very excited about the game, and of course nervous as well. I want to make sure my group has fun. I'm glad we did the zero session as it gave me a little experience with the "feel" of the module. One more day to gametime!
