I did not want to drag my ass out of bed this morning. I was warm and comfortable, and just no. Alas, I did eventually force myself up. Two cups of coffee later, I still want to go back to bed.
Yesterday was very quiet for the updates. I kept having them trickle in. I have minions, who are doing the updates for me once I pull them. I ran out at least every couple of hours. Of course, at 5, 249 came in, so I can keep them busy this morning. Being newbie minions, while they're training their schedule is 9-5:30, so not too many got done last night. Hopefully, there won't be a ton this morning, so we can get yesterday's finished in short order.
I'm getting more of a feeling for when the transport companies send in the updates, which is I suppose good? It doesn't impact things one way or another, but it lets me brace a little.
One good thing for having minions for this, it will cover the lack of leadership experience that they said I had at the last job interview. I'm leading minions! I'm not sure how much I'm actually leading them, but my boss hasn't complained about the way I'm working it, so I guess it's okay.
My boss seems to like me. When he calls me for one job or another, he's always very complimentary, and tells me he appreciates my initiative and flexibility. Apparently, being willing to take on more work is a rarity. (Not shocking with my team.) It's nice to be appreciated for what I do.
Even though it's only $600, I'm still waiting impatiently for my stimulus to arrive. It's new tires for my car, and maybe another boating day when spring comes, since that was a lot of fun last time.
D&D this Friday creeps closer. I am very excited, and looking forward to it. Yet again, I'm really grateful for TTRPGs. They've made the pandemic bearable, and given me something to look forward to.
