Originally, I wrote a much whinier post this morning, but I decided to delete it, because it was just too damn whiny even for me.
So, not being whiny, what shall I talk about?
It's MotW day! I was just going to run a mystery straight out of the book, but I had an idea for a hook this morning after copious amounts of coffee, and rewrote it as per my normal. I hope the chaos muppets like it. I think it'll be a lot of fun. Now to come up with multiple names that I can use for townsfolk, so I'm not scrambling to come up with names as we play. Last games theme was Russian Jewish names. This week shall be white bread middle American names. Much less interesting, but easier to come up with. Who am I kidding, I'll probably use a name generator.
I'll definitely be using the random name generator for D&D. The names usually are something like "Nemath Fogdweller." I don't have that kind of brain power. So far, out of the ten people playing five have made their characters in Roll20. So my 0.5 session is probably going to be a 0.0 session, which is cool. I feel a little bad for those people who have already made their characters, because they're probably going to be bored. We have some newbies, so they'll probably require some time to get the hang of both D&D and the Roll20 website. At least some of them have played in the MotW game,so they'll know the system for Roll20. (I fucking love Roll20, and I plan to get a subscription and pay them some money because without them, online gaming would be a much bigger pain in the ass.
I also plan to get Jess a Discord account, because they're awesome. They say they don't need it, but I also want to pay them, since they support our voice chat. (Roll20, while awesome, has rough audio, especially for big parties.)
I can't believe next week is Christmas. Still waiting for one of Dad's presents, which is hung up in California. Twice. The first one was sent on November 28th, and has been hung up since December 1st. The reship was just sent on December 16th, by priority, and is hung up in San Francisco. I don't think he's getting his Lewis Black T-shirt.
In other news, it is fucking cold out, and I just came in from taking the dog out. Brr.
