Learned all about Zoom last night for my con.txt training. It's much more labor intensive than Discord, but I think I can do it. I agreed to do either monitoring Discord or hosting Zoom panels (or both). We shall see how it goes! When this is done, I'm going to have to find some fanish discords, because I've missed it. Even the little bit of chat that the volunteers are doing on the discord is nice. Most of it's about fandoms I wasn't in, but who knows, maybe I'll find something new out of it.
Woke up at 5:00am this morning, my day off, with back spasms. Awesome. I got up, because apparently, I can't take Ibuprofen on an empty stomach anymore. That way lies the kind of reflux that is normally reserved for Trader Joe's beef tamales. (Which are awesome, but damn.)
Had a nice chat with my current manager, getting tips for my interview on Monday. She's really sweet. She called me and spent a good 15 minutes going over what to expect and what questions to be ready for. I continue to be anxious. I have a break before the interview, so I think I'm going to change into interview clothes, to boost my self confidence.
Aside from that, boring day at casa beanside. Lots of errands. I have to fetch cupcakes for my sister, as one of her workers has a birthday and the place with the good cupcakes doesn't open til 10. Hopefully today they also have warm donuts. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but when they do, they're awesome. Then, it's off to Walmart to pick up stuff, then I collapse in a heap.
I've gotten out of the habit of doing things, and they're exhausting.
