I’m going to try to make myself post more often, because I feel like I’ve distanced myself from y’all, and that’s not what I want. I miss the community of fandom. I just pulled back because depression made it hard to write, and so I felt like I didn’t have anything else to offer.
So, what is everyone up to?
I’m nominally in MCU fandom, but I’ll read SPN, Harry Potter, and others, if they look interesting. I love recs!
dine has amazing recs, and I frequently check out people’s bookmarks.
I don’t really watch SPN anymore. I don’t really watch any shows. I don’t currently have the brain power or focus thanks to depression. What I do watch is reality tv like RuPaul’s Drag Race, Forged in Fire And Face Off.
Face Off has been my favorite for a long time, and this is its final season. The contestants are just...nice. There’s very little “bad guy” edits, and frequently they’ll help each other out. It’s a movie makeup/prosthetics show, so it’s a very cooperative field. Plus, the judges are all industry veterans, and no one wants Ve Neil to think you’re difficult. (She’s been poaching contestants since season 1.)
Outside of that, I work at the call center for a certain Swedish Furniture store. The job is grating, but they pay well, and the benefits are amazing. Which is something I remind myself daily while I’m getting screamed at over missing items or late delivery.
