Another day, another bout of waking up ass-early in pain.
Normally, this isn't anything I'd write about, but I was so hoping things would be better by now.
Thursday, I had a minor procedure at the pain docs. I got knocked out for a minute or two, and they jammed a needle into my spine and injected steroids. The procedure went fine. I tend to shake off anesthesia well, so I had no problem walking out of the room on my own two feet and while I recovered, I sat there chatting with the nice woman who did my IV. By the time the evening rolled around, I was nearly crying with pain, as all the pissed off nerves revolted.
Now, three days later, it's back to business as usual. No relief, nothing. Just a whole lot of cranky because I really wanted it to work. *sigh* I knew going in that it was only 50/50 for relief, but damn.
So yeah, that's been my week. And now, I'ma take some drugs and try to nap for a few minutes more.
