Non-spoilery reaction:
Goddamn you, Kripke! Are you trying to kill us all? Cause, damn. You broke me. Seriously.
Spoilery reaction:
Oh, shit. From the moment Sam knelt at Mary's grave with John's dog tags... I was gone.
And the zombie? Really creepy. I mean, ew. Necrophilia? So totally wasn't expecting it, but it worked.
And Dean, letting so much of himself come out during the case, but those last five minutes were still such a shock. And my god, the boys sold it. Between Dean and his controlled rage (which, yeah. Jess has a great theory about Dean still being an angry spirit, just one bound in it's body), and then finally breaking down at the end...god.
I love how they're quietly evolving Sam. From the protected little brother to the protector, growing up a little at a time, and suddenly realizing how much his father and brother did for him, or hid from him. It's just gorgeous, and painful, watching him grow and learn and stumble, but in the end, he's always right there beside Dean. Where he belongs.
And the touches of humor were great, and perfectly placed, just enough to keep my heart from falling out of my chest onto the floor.
So, yes. In conclusion:
Kripke (and company), I am your bitch. Ave Jensen. Ave Jared (and his acting coach, cause damn.
